Speedwitness ETVideo is a time tested, proven, easy to use traffic speed measurement system, combining a Lidar or Radar speed data, an image processor and a VHS video recorder. It can be used in static mode on a portable stand covertly on the roadside, inside small vans on a collapsed tripod or in semi-permanent roadside enclosures. A radio remote version allows reception of the speed image in a patrol car 1 km down the road to flag them down offending vehicles. A solid state x260 zoom color CCD camera gives an amplified view of the speed scene on a large 6.8” color LCD display. The heart of the system is the Speedwitness controller, which processes and overlays speed, date, time and records on a simple VHS video recorder with event tags for easy retrieval. The system is available in portable tripod portable or in-vehicle mounted versions, it can be ordered with either a Laser or a Radar gun.
