Speedwitness Digital-S is the latest from the dependable Speedwitness traffic speed monitoring devices; it is the next generation “photo-radar” traffic camera system. The Digital-S automatically captures speeding offences of vehicles exceeding the speed limit; it uses a high resolution electronic camera and a bore-sighted Laser or Radar sensor to measure the speed and range^* to capture two color snap shots in a rapid sequence. The digital images from the camera and the speed measurement are combined and recorded on a computer inside the Digital-S as a composite photograph showing the speed, range, date, time, location and the officers’ name. The Digital-S can be deployed on a portable roadside tripod or in semi-permanent road side post. Up to 20,000 images are stored internally, up to 4 digital images of each speeding vehicle. “Gotchu” live or back office citation issuance software automatically interfaces with Digital-S to process and print citations; live data transfer to central location is available.  * – Range available only with Laser Speed sensor
